I am very disappointed to notice horrible. I've been a longtime customer of Amazon and this is my first bad experience. I can not really blame the Amazon, the problem lies solely with Panasonic, but I am surprised that this issue was not mentioned in the comments of the users that I rely heavily. I solved this plasma after six weeks of intense research and visits to local shops to see the model and talk with suppliers impartially. Third party verification from CNET has confirmed that this series has the best image quality of something in this price point, and a comfortable than comparable LCD models. I received my game in two days of Sixth Avenue. com (from Amazon) and after its creation found to my horror, the dreaded flashing signal 7. No image whatsoever. On googling the problem I realized that this was a big problem with Panasonic fixed for some time. My complaints have been sent to the Amazon customer service, on 6th Avenue, Panasonic, and, finally, to a local company contracted by Panasonic. Two days later, a technician diagnosed three shares failed and said it could take anywhere between two days and sixty! days to get parts. Basically, I'm stuck with a brand new television unnecessary occupy my living room. I still think this set is a superior quality product, once it gets up and running. The technology service convinced me that, once set the probability of a recurrence of the problem are very low, and it works fine for the first year, the risk of failure later, are also fairly low. They mix their thumbs and trying to cope with this dilemma. If I had bought the product from a local shop, I would be able to request a trade. Since it was ordered online and shipped, the company refuses to change it. Buyer beware.

Panasonic S1 is a TV series quite well. the only thing that I'm not a big fan of anti-glare. anti-reflection is as safe as less reflective then your standard glossy screen plasma, but the high standard-gloss screen gives a little 'better. I have this TV in a basement and it would be better with the glossy screen. If you have a room lit Moderatley but want a plasma, so it would be perfect for you. I can not coment on the sound, as I have never herd of TV speakers, I run straight towards a evything HomeTheater. I recommend this TV to a friend looking for a 40''TV + less than $ 1,000.

Extrememly happy with the purchase. Easy to assemble. Grand Crisp, clear picture. No halo. Good views from all angles. The audio is fine (a good sound, but not as good as the image), I took the 42 "due to lack of space, but now realize that I could mount a TV larger than the corner of my room . This was the most common regret that I read the reviews before my purchase, and of course I feel the same. Overall, a television special at a great price!

This plasma is really good. I looked at several TVs at Best Buy and plasmas are as good as LCD screens and does not cost much. I have Dish Network HD and they work great. The color is really great. With a swivel stand would be nice, but otherwise nothing wrong.
